Jotunheimen, Norway 10'

Goal

Since we managed to conquer the highest mountain is Sweden - Kebnekaise - last year, we aimed a bit higher this year. This time we should reach the top of the highest mountain in Norway - Galdhøpiggen. On the way to Norway’s highest mountain we trekked on the top of Besseggen and it definitely was an extraordinary experience.

Tour

This trekking tour started at Gjendesheim, bottom left of the map red square, and ended at Gjendebu, bottom right of the map red circle. The first day was mainly a travel day where we arrived in Jotunheimen and camped a short distance from Gjendesheim, the closest red star. Our other camp sites are the remaining red stars along the route. Two of the most extraordinary places on this route where the gorgeous views from both Besseggen and Galdhøpiggen.

Some of the best pictures from this trek can be found in our image gallery and choosing the album ‘Jotunheimen’.
